LHS Students and Staff Visit Burke MuseumLincoln High School received a Port Angeles Education Foundation (PAEF) grant to take all the students and staff to the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture at the University of Washington in Seattle.

“Our purpose is to build relationships with students and staff, as well as build positive feelings with our students regarding school,” said Cindy Crumb, Lincoln High School principal.  “We particularly liked the Burke Museum because it is located on the University of Washington’s beautiful campus, so we knew we could (in effect) get two field trips for the price of one.”

A total of 61 students and 10 staff members went on the field trip this spring. Students were not only impressed by the museum, but inspired and motivated by the University of Washington’s campus to go to college someday.

“Everyone had a blast, and our students were so well behaved,” said Crumb.
